The hit Scottish musical from National Theatre of Scotland and the Citizens Theatre is back. Glasgow Girls is the true life story of seven teenage girls whose campaigning against the poor treatment of refused asylum seekers gained international attention.
With original songs ranging from electronic grime from Patricia Panther, reggae-dub from Scots- Asian rapper Sumati Bhardwaj (MC Soom T), folk/rock from Cora Bissett and additional songs from the Kielty Brothers. Conceived and directed by Cora Bissett, with the book written by David Greig.

The 2014 Glasgow Film Festival continues to embrace cinema without prejudice or boundaries, offering an irresistible event at amazingly affordable prices. The festival’s country focus for 2014 is Chile, following the glimpses of the riches in Chilean cinema offered by Gloria and No in 2013. To mark 75 years since The Cosmo opened on the site of Glasgow Film Theatre, this year’s GFF includes a salute to the greatest year in Hollywood with 1939: Hooray for Hollywood featuring the Oscar nominees from that year including Mr Smith Goes to Washington, Ninotchka and Wuthering Heights.

Private Lives follows the difficult relationship of divorced couple Elyot and Amanda, who, while honeymooning with their new spouses, discover that they are staying in adjacent rooms at the same hotel in the South of France. Cue Elyot and Amanda falling in love - and in hate - all over again as their bewildered new spouses Sibyl and Victor try to cope. Love is complicated!

February’s forecast is frosty at the National Museum of Scotland, as woolly mammoths of the Ice Age descend on Edinburgh for the first Museum Lates event of 2014. With top-notch music from Pictish Trail and Marnie (Ladytron) plus a host of other Ice Age themed highlights - including Silent Disco, face-painting, art installations and more – Feb 28th is guaranteed to be another packed evening of fun in the Grand Gallery. The event ties in with the National Museum’s winter exhibition Mammoths of the Ice Age, which will be open to explore on the night.
