A move from Glasgow to London has seen the internationally-l avoured dance project of Brian d’Souza (and live collaborator Esa Williams) move to the next level. In its sixth year, the independent promoter continued to offer a gloriously eclectic

15 DAVID SHRIGLEY ART GIANT
List favourite Shrigley became the latest Glasgow artist to make it on to the Turner Prize shortlist for his solo show at the Hayward Gallery, bringing his dark comedic work to Britain’s biggest contemporary art prize with a life-sized urinating nude i gure. (RT)

13 IAIN BANKS LATE GREAT AUTHOR
Banks died of cancer in June, leaving a legacy of 27 literary and science i ction novels. The Bridge
