WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD- RELATED TRADITION AT CHRISTMAS? What’s your favourite food-related tradition at Christmas? Any less-well-known traditions, or traditions from other cultures, you think we should be adopting? KENNY WHITTAL I’m quite easy going when it comes to Christmas; I like to vary things and make different food each year but they’re mainly traditional British things like terrine, with duck perhaps and roast potatoes / Brussels at sprouts. British food is so good at Christmas I don’t really think there’s anything we need to be adopting!

RICHARD HELLER Coming home after work on Christmas Eve at around midnight to drink Prosecco with my wife while stufi ng the turkey, chopping veg and making sauces! Which invariably means we end up going to bed way too late only to be woken by the children way too early! Also, in America, they celebrate Christmas on Boxing Day so it means I usually get two Christmases. It’s all about ‘seasonal greetings’ at this time of year.

Christmas is not really an ofi cial C p public holiday in Thailand but s some people do celebrate by d dressing up like Santa Claus or even elephants. Tourist areas or big landmarks are decorated with Christmas trees and snowmen. Festive Thai food then is nothing like roast turkey
