BABYSHAMBLES Whatever happened to Babyshambles? Time was, lead vocalist and guitarist Pete Docherty only came up in conversation for his bad boy antics. Recently however, he’s been working hard on new material. Sequel to the Prequel, out on Monday 2 September, sees Docherty’s characteristic vocals adopting a poppier tone – gone is the grotty hedonism of early Babyshambles, and in it’s place is something more polished and upbeat. ■ Barrowlands, Glasgow, Wed 4 Sep.
