HAIL THE NEW PURITAN Said to be his most defining work, Hail the New Puritan sees media- dance pioneer Charles Atlas explore the everyday life of legendary Scottish choreographer Michael Clark. Originally shot as a tongue- in-cheek mockumentary, the film follows the then-23-year-old Clark around an 80s post-punk London, as he redefines the boundaries of modern choreography, soundtracked by The Fall. Ethnographic Film (tbc) The Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain & Ireland’s long-running festival comes to Scotland for the first time, showcasing ethnographic films from all over the world.
