The biggest event on Scotland’s music calendar is back, with three days of glorious giggage spanning rock, hip hop, dance and more. No doubt everyone will have their own highlights in mind – hip hop fans will be digging Rihanna, Snoop and Azealia Banks, while indie-lovers have Yeah Yeah Yeahs and FRabbit to look forward to – but for us, it’s all about mighty Deutsch electronicists Kraftwerk. See feature, page 13, and Frightened Rabbit interview, page 112. Balado, near Kinross, Fri 12–Sun 14 Jul. This exhibition concentrates on Ray’s portrait photography, with subjects including Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Ernest Hemingway among those featured. See preview, page 105.
