AUGUSTE LE BRETON L’Institut francais are hosting a series of film noir screenings to celebrate what would be the 100th birthday of the iconic French crime writer Auguste Le Breton. The season will feature film adaptions of his most recognisable works, including Rififi (pictured), Bob le flambeur and Le Clans des Siciliens among others. Le Breton is famed in France for his connections with the Parisian mob, whom he was often to be found drinking and gambling with around Montmarte.
