THROUGH AMERICAN EYES Frederic Church was a member of America’s Hudson River School, a group of landscape artists active in the mid-19th century. He created his works on multiple journeys across both American continents, capturing a world at odds with encroaching civilisation. His work combines anatomical detailing, combined with sweeping compositions and dramatic lighting effects. This exhibition showcases 25 of his oil sketches.
