CHANNY LEANAGH, frontwoman of ethereal, electronic-pop act POLICA met her bandmate Ryan Olson when she was singing with the Gayngs collective. They put out debut album Give You The Ghost earlier this year, and those auto- tuned, ghostly and hypnotic vocals have been stuck in our heads ever since. Here Channy talks about her on the road eating habits.
What time is breakfast? It’s a few hours after I wake up.
Tea or coffee? Tea.
Smoking or non-smoking? Non, for two weeks.
Sweet or savoury snacks? Both.
What food do you miss when you tour? Food that tastes good.
Who’s the best cook you know? My mom of course.
What’s on your rider? Lots of beverages.
Which country/city has the best food? New York/LA, tied.
Do you eat out a lot? On the road, yes. Sometimes eating out is just raiding a gas station. At home, not too much. I like homecooked food.
