A world away from Mamma Mia! and its ilk, the Green Day musical is based on the album of the same name and follows the rough narrative that runs through the record. The made-for-stage rock opera adds a few songs from the follow up, 21st Century Breakdown, to extend the plot for a full length stage show now on its first UK tour after a successful run on Broadway.
