90 THE LIST 19 Jul–2 Aug 2012
. Before the cultural mayhem of the Edinburgh Festival gets underway, it’s worth taking a trip out of the cities to check out this showcase of work by the American photographer, which is part of the ARTIST ROOMS 2012 programme. The exhibition, whose Linlithgow run is part of a Scottish tour, features several of the artist’s flower studies and looks at the artist’s understanding of form and light in the creation of his famous portraits of some of the most celebrated artists, writers and musicians of the 1970s and 80s. ■ The Gallery at Linlithgow Burgh Halls, Fri 20 Jul–Sun 28 Oct.
