Mailbox Ask Bob
Bob Servant, window cleaning kingpin and beneficiary of Dundee’s ns Cheeseburger Wars, turns Agony Uncle for The List
Bob, Bob,
These bankers are an awful bunch are they not? Allan Reo ch My dad says you’re not real, are you real? Paul Instrell (5), Livingston
Allan, They’re arrogant, pure and simple. Probably the worst of the lot is a guy who works in the Abbey National in Monifieth. He does that thing where you put your hands behind your back and rock on your heels during a conversation like you’re the fucking King of the World or something. Last week I watched him lean back in his seat, tilt his head and empty an entire packet of Skittles into his mouth. I just shook my head in disbelief, walked out, got the bus home, made my dinner (mince and potatoes, side portion of chips) and watched Murder She Wrote with a wry smile on my face.
Cheers, Bob
Paul, Go up to your Dad, kick him the balls and ask him if that was ‘real’. Your dad, Paul, and I do not say this lightly, is a complete prick. All the very best, Bob Send your questions to bob@bobservant.com www.bobservant.com
HAVE YOUR SAY SPORTSMAN (DIS)LIKE Re: TV review – Line of Duty (698)
Don’t knock the fact Martin Compston is playing this in a north London accent. Thank god he’s allowed to show some versatility (and do it convincing (and do it convincingly) rather than d doing a Taggart and
dragging down this good-looking, non-Olympics e entertainment – id ideal for those of u us who don’t like wa watching sportsmen flo flog a dead ’orse, like And Andy ‘he’s British you kno know’ Murray. Com Comment posted by Nickj Nickj, Edinburgh
UNSWORTH A LOOK Re: Cathi Unsworth – Weirdo (698, ●●●●●) I think Cathi Unsworth describes troubled teens and strange subcultures brilliantly – this has got plenty to appeal to people who aren’t normally that interested in crime fiction as well.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PUBLIC CLOCK?
Margaret Ferguson @robertmacfunk
Burns It has to be the Millenium Clock at the National Museum of Scotland, Chambers Street, Edinburgh.
The one built circa 1870 at the Customhouse in Greenock. Clock, lantern, bell & weathervane all in one. pic.twitter.com/TzQLu4ys
@pantsonfire73 Snow Factor
The floral clock in Princes street gardens, Edinburgh and the Tron clock at the Gallowgate, Glasgow. The Glasgow Science Centre air ball clock is amazing!
Bryony Hope @MichaelSince83
Chronophage at National Museums! Only temporary though :( @knjg
My favourite clock is The Clock in Leith . . . I recommend the chicken, avocado and harissa.
Went past the beautiful floral clock underneath the castle in Inverness today . . .
@AndrewAHannah There’s one in Hamilton that doubled as a fountain and

@Steoph Running clock (pictured)!
@Jamsie42 There was a great one in Cumbernauld Town Centre. The old St Enoch clock. Then they moved it. #theQuestionIs
