anCnoc art Spotlight In celebration of their new collaboration with internationally acclaimed Scottish illustrator Peter Arkle, anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky are going to spotlight an innovative Scottish artist in every issue of The List.

Callum Innes Edinburgh-born painter, Callum Innes is best known for his works in oil paint on canvas, which have been shown in major exhibitions at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts. While celebrated for his canvases, Innes has also created many series’ of works on paper and this aspect of his practice is currently the subject of an exhibition at Edinburgh’s Ingleby Gallery (running until Sat 14 Jul). Callum Innes, Works on Paper 1989–2012 features three new series’ of works including ‘reverse sculptures’, created using ground chalk sticks and watercolours, as well as selected works from the artist’s archive.
