Jo Caulfield's Comedy Collective SUGGESTED BY BRUCE DEVLIN, COMEDIAN

I’m actually not really keen on comedy as a genre, but Jo Caulfield is one of the few exceptions. Her Collective show has been running for a little under a year I think, and is a fantastic evening out. It offers a different, diverse and relaxed look at what people think a comedy show is. Obviously Jo is the anchor an often scathing but authentically funny person. She’s providing a great platform for other acts based in Scotland and pushing them out of their comfort zones, whether they’re doing characters, readings or more dramatic style pieces. Currently the show is available as a podcast but I don’t think it’ll be long before it’s scheduled for a Radio Scotland series. Well, if they have any sense. Jo Caulfield’s Comedy Collective, The Stand, Edinburgh, Tue 15 May. Bruce Devlin will be at The Stand, Edinburgh, from Thu 26-Sat 28 Apr, and The Stand, Glasgow, throughout May.
