Organs of Love, Correcto, Agi Doom and The Thomas Brothers CHOSEN BY FIELDING HOPE, PROMOTER AT CRY PARROT AND NICE’N’SLEAZY

Over the last few years, Green Door Studios has become one of the central hubs for exciting new music in Glasgow, providing an awesome analogue recording space for musicians while establishing creative networks across the city. Their Christmas party is a perfect representation of the sort of creativity that’s been thriving there: an occultist, sex-obsessed organ-pop outfit called Organs of Love, poetic indie from Correcto (pictured) and Siouxie and the Banshees-style goth-pop from the all-new Agi Doom. When I’m hunting out new acts to book, Green Door is my first port of call. Green Door Christmas Party, Captain’s Rest, Glasgow, Sat 17 Dec. Cry Parrot New Year Fest will take place at Nice‘N’Sleazy, Glasgow, Fri 13–Sun 15 Jan, visit cryparrot.co.uk 15 Dec 2011–5 Jan 2012 THE LIST 5
