Electronic music protégé, Mondkopf, nicknamed ‘the French Brian Eno’, will be playing his debut live show at The Arches in September, ahead of his second album Rising Doom coming out in October. His driving, intergalactic electronica has earned him fans in Boysnoize, Brodinski and others, amid some comparisons to Aphex Twin. The fact he’s also very easy on the eye is just an added bonus. The Arches, Glasgow, Sat 17 Sep. Part of Death Disco, see Clubs, page 86. 120 THE LIST 25 Aug–22 Sep 2011
