Download yours at virtualfestival.org and explore at your leisure. See digital theatre feature, page 62. Various venues, New Town, 3–29 Aug. KIDS BAGPUSS Remarkably, this is the old fat furry cat-puss’ first stage outing one for the Memory Lane-strolling parents as much as the kids, we reckon. The fact that it has the full support of the old Bagpuss TV crew is an encouraging sign. Assembly George Square, 6–28 Aug (not 15). Previews 3–5 Aug.

COMEDY JOSIE LONG 2010 heralded a tonal shift for Long, from a landscape of pleasant whimsy to one of political ire as she attacked a society that had fallen prey to vogueish voter apathy. Which way will she go this year? See preview, page 41. Pleasance Dome, 6–28 Aug (not 15, 22). Previews 4–5 Aug.

ART INGRID CALAME A exhibition of American Calame’s work, which involves the transformation of real-world marks and tracings (such as tyremarks and industrial pollution stains on buildings) into intricate and colourful artworks. See preview, page 78. Fruitmarket Gallery, 4 Aug–9 Oct.

COMEDY DAVE GORMAN He of the famed googlewhacking, Dave Gorman- finding and obscure games-playing adventures returns to Edinburgh after a long absence. See interview at list.co.uk/festival.
