NewsExtra THE VAULT ■ Just as Edinburgh is gearing up for the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ this August, so it seems out West they are preparing for an impressive (albeit far smaller) show of their own, in the guise of new contemporary art festival The Vault. Setting its stall in Glasgow’s Briggait between 9–11 September, the project aims to encourage the public to invest in Glasgow’s contemporary artists. Curator- and artist-led organisations will present work for sale in the recently-refurbished fishmarket space. A programme of guided tours and workshops will run alongside the event.
