LA Noire GAMES Grand Theft Auto developers Rockstar have stopped hotwiring cars just long enough to produce this hard- boiled period detective story. Attack the Block FILM Joe ‘Adam and Joe’ Cornish follows up his recent return to radio on BBC 6 Music with this, his film directorial debut. Unite craft exhibition SUGGESTED BY TEAMY – DJ AT WRONG ISLAND, NICE’N’SLEAZY, GLASGOW
‘The Collins Gallery at Strathclyde University (sadly under threat of closure) is currently hosting an exhibition by craftscotland. Far from being a stereotypical “hippies making beaded bracelets” affair, this is a wonderful exhibition by 38 makers who have mastered traditional arts to create genuinely captivating pieces. It’s a combination of the “Oh wow, that's beautiful!” of an art gallery and the “It's amazing to think someone hand-made that” of a museum, but with the added ability to be able to buy something from the exhibition rather than the gift shop. Plus, one of the exhibits (Emma Shannon's weavings of brutalist architecture) is accompanied by a soundscape by Rubadub's own Aleks Jurczyk, just in case you were wondering where the musical angle was.” Collins Gallery, Glasgow, until Sat 7 May.
