Electric Frog Carnival CLUBS/MUSIC The finest dance party in Scotland has been transformed into a two-day Easter weekender for 2011, with a stellar line-up featuring Erol Alkan, Slam, DJ Yoda (pictured), J Rocc, Green Velvet, Ivan Smagghe, The Unabombers, Optimo, Andre Pirie, Animal Farm, Dave Clark, Kode9 and more. Pressure will be hosting a room to continue Soma’s 20th birthday celebrations (see preview, page 49, and interview with Orde Meikle of Slam at list.co.uk) and, what’s more, legendary DJs from the 1970s New York disco scene François K and Danny Krivit are each making a rare public appearance and delivering a set apiece. Michael Clark DANCE After a residential stint at the Tate Modern, Michael Clark Company is back to present a reworked and extended version of Clark’s 2009 Edinburgh International Festival work, come, been and gone. The show is primarily inspired by David Bowie, with additional nods to The Velvet Underground and Kraftwerk, as well as to Clark collaborators Lou Reed and Brian Eno.
