BigPicture ORLANDO Orlando is a rarely-staged Baroque opera from George Frideric Handel. Scottish Opera’s version is set in war-ravaged 1940s London, and follows the pains of injured RAF pilot Orlando (played by Tim Mead, left) as he falls in love with American nurse Angelica during a tormented, often psychotic, period of convalescence.
