Andy Wilson takes charge with a mixed soundtrack of indie, electro and alternative classics as the Picture House club nights go weekly once again. Another full blown world music jazz party as DL take over the Caves for another Hogmanay with live music from Rumba Caliente Afro-Latin Orchestra, Horndog Brass Band and Edinburgh Samba School not forgetting DJ sets from Astroboy, Jiminez, Mr Zimbabwe and DJ Wastepicker. A retro Hogmanay in the hands of The Go- Go with their mix of soul, 60s beat, mod, garage and pop from Tall Paul and Slim Jim Spectre with live music from The Kosher Pickles (on at 1am) and their mix of garage/psychedelic covers/party tunes. ■ Headspin Meets Mumbo Jumbo at the Bongo Club. 31 Dec, 11pm–3am. £10. Big ol’ party of funk, soul, hip hop, house and anything else Allan Dunbar, Steve Austin and Trendy Wendy can weld into their Hogmanay set as Headspin returns to the Bongo for New Year with a heap of help from Mumbo Jumbo, plus DJs from We Got Soul and Soulsville. ■ Hive Hogmanay at the Hive. 31 Dec, 9pm–5am. £10 advance; more on the door.
