Rustie
Not content with being a prominent member of Glasgow’s LuckyMe collective and, alongside fellow LuckyMe alumni Hudson Mohawke, purveyor of some of the most bizarre music genres you’ve ever come across (tropical grime Vs wonky aquacrunk, anyone?), electronic artist Rustie has just released an excellent slice of polychrome electro-rock; his ‘ Sunburst’ EP on Warp Records (home to Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Grizzly Bear and, oh yes, Hudson Mohawke). Joining him will be percussive electro Brooklyn duo Tanlines and South London synther Becoming Real. All three acts are hotly tipped for success but also, more importantly, damned good to dance along to. ■ The Arches, Glasgow, Wed 1 Dec. 18 Nov–2 Dec 2010 THE LIST 75
