Vincent Fecteau For his first exhibition in a public gallery in the UK, Californian artist Vincent Fecteau has selected six sculptures created from layers of papier-maché, over which acrylic
paint has been applied. The wall-mounted sculptures are reversible and can thus be displayed facing in either direction. Fecteau’s work is being shown simultaneously with Forests and Gardens of South India – a selection of 55 drawings of Indian plants by Hugh Cleghorn, known as the father of forest conservation in the Subcontinent, whose work is held in the archives of the Royal Botanic Garden. ■ Inverleith House, Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, until Fri 4 Jul.
