TFTV music show launch night Get ready for your close up. Launching in Scotland
this fortnight, a new live music night, which is also broadcast, not quite on the telly, but weekly on the internet at www.tfmusic.co.uk hopes to bring together the electric atmosphere of classic venues such as Liverpool’s Cavern or London’s Marquee, with live, filmed, strictly-no-lip- synching-or-retakes performances. Organiser and record producer Luke Lockhart (pictured), will be presenting the TFTV show, and interviewing bands, as well as coming into the crowd for some mid-gig audience reactions, to create a ‘real and gritty’ live feel. The launch night features performances from Glasgow artists Sonny Marvello, Iona Bain and Louise against the Elements, plus up-and-coming acts from the rest of the UK, including Penny Black and The Dinies. ■ Ivory Blacks, Glasgow, Fri 16 Apr.
