Laura Marling With her promising debut Alas I Cannot Swim Laura Marling managed to stand out against the ever increasing number of female singer-songwriters out there,

comparisons being made to a young Joni Mitchell or Sandy Denny. The folk princess is now returning with her new album I Speak Because I Can which brings with it a musically richer, more mature Marling. The album bids a farewell to songs recounting ghosts that broke her heart and instead focuses on the weight of heritage and sexuality on one's identity.
