Russian pianist Polina Leschenko performs Chopin’s enchanting Piano Concerto in F minor, along with the music of two of his contemporaries: a rare performance of Clara Schumann’s Romance in A minor, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3 (‘Scottish’), inspired by his 1829 visit to Scotland, the same year as Chopin began his concerto aged 19.
