Taking Time: Craft and the Slow Revolution This touring exhibition brings together 19 contemporary practitioners to explore how
craft practice can generate a modern and timely response to current social debates. Award-winning jeweller Esther Knobel and ceramicist Neil Brownsword are among the artists reflecting on ideas around time and process, material and value, site and locality in the exhibition. Meanwhile, Amy Houghton examines the relationship between craft and the internet, creating a web-based socially engaging digital artwork using data from Twitter, called www.tweave.co.uk, to create a virtual woven textile. ■ Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh, Sat 16 Jan–Wed 10 Mar.
