Pet Shop Boys Somewhere in the midst of their epic ‘Pandemonium’ world tour, the Pet Shop Boys

managed to put together two EPs ‘Beautiful People’ (not out here yet) and the brand new, ‘Christmas’. As well as allowing Neil Tennant time off to collaborate with The Killers and Elton John on Mexican-themed Christmas single ‘Happy Birthday, Guadelupe!’ (See our Xmas singles feature, page 30) they also racked up their tenth American number one, and more obscurely released a compilation of their songs featured in South American soap operas. Busy boys, then, but we’re sure they’ll save something special for the SECC. SECC, Glasgow, Thu 17 Dec.
