HOUSE PROUD Re: The House of Bernarda Alba One of the best plays I have ever seen – superb! Has you laughing one minute, crying the next, but mostly laughing at their patter. The cast are brill, especially so Siobhan Redmond and Myra McFadyen. You will love it. Get tickets while you still can. I'm looking forward to reading this. Psalms may think atheists to be fools, but atheists think fools are born of being foolish. Quote a book with talking snakes and seas being parted and virgins giving birth, and believe it is factually true? How foolish would that be? Santa, North Pole, Alaska Comment posted at List.co.uk

LETTER OF THE FORTNIGHT
AND JUSTICE FOR ALL Re: File sharing So, prompted by Lily Allen's recent blog on the subject, self- styled, edgy style bible NME has finally come round to the opinion that file sharing, or downloading music illegally – call it what you will – might actually be a morally bad thing, and thus something that people SHOULD actually feel shameful about.
Fair enough you could accuse them of arriving at this viewpoint for entrely selfish reasons, given that it’s their very lifeblood – new music – that file sharing discourages the creation of in removing a revenue stream of any upcoming musicians.
However, the case for appealing to people’s morals remains strong, and whether the 'content wants to be free' brigade like it or not, music has costs associated with its creation, and isn't 'information' we have a right to access either – it's entertainment, therefore a luxury. Not paying for it just because it's very easy to do so and get away with it should be viewed in the same way as the old trick of slipping a pack of smoked salmon into your magazine at the supermarket checkout. Or was it just me that used to do that? Michael, Edinburgh

BEGGAR BELIEF Re: The Beggar's Opera Great set design, costumes, AV and band. Sandy Grierson as MacHeath was really convincing. Tasty eye candy too. Well worth a visit. Xerrex, Edinburgh Comment posted at List.co.uk
IN A BIG COUNTRY Re: Bruce & Jamie Watson Friday's gig at Lathones by Bruce and Jamie Watson was amazing. What a great gig! Fantastic venue for a start and the crowd was made up of enthusiastic fans from not only all over the UK (hi to the Welsh guys) but also from the US, Denmark, Finland and Australia from what I could gather. Bruce was hilarious
between tracks and he and Jamie gave awesome performances of both new songs and a few reworked Big Country tracks. They both obviously love performing and the crowd were with them all the way! Jooks, Scotland Comment posted at List.co.uk
