Balkan nights of gypsy jazz mashed with folk and klezmar tunes are always riotous affairs. This month
Balkanarama have live music from Black Cat and Jani Lang Band as well as Balkan beats DJ DD (from Turin), all topped off with Hungary’s Kalam Balogh. ‘He's considered one of the greatest virtuosos of the cimbalom in the world,’ explains promoter Saska Haramina. ‘I saw a documentary about him and wondered then if I’d ever have an opportunity to see him live, so I am very excited that he is actually coming to Edinburgh.’
