Background Raised in North London and attended her local school. She says her upbringing was 'very average'. She still lives where she grew up. She started acting when she was very young. She was singing in a choir and was asked to come to castings where she realised that acting was really good fun. In 2003 she took over playing Vicky Fowler in EastEnders appearing in 200 episodes. What’s she up to now? Having stopped performing in EastEnders on Christmas day 2004. Scarlett Alice Jones decided to escape the limelight and spent time doing theatre work, not wanting to do anything too public 0r high profile. She is now acting in her debut feature film, playing Lexi in Adulthood. Noel Clarke's imaginatively titled sequel to Kidulthood. Her character is a feisty emotionally insecure female struggling to cope with her job as a hairdresser, drug habit and men. She is the only person willing to help Noel Clarke's Sam when the bully from Kidu/thood is released from prison.
What she says about playing Lexi ‘I think there are a lot of generic roles for girls and this is what attracted me to Adulthood. She's a really full-on character and challenging to play. I knew that I couldn't play her half-heartedly. I've never had to play a character that I had to concentrate on so much physically. Also. because it‘s a really modern character I had to step out of how I hold myself physically and embrace her. because she has her back up a lot and is very bolshy. She is going to walk a different way and hold herself a different way. She is the kind of character that if anyone started on her, she'd have the fight whereas in real life I'd shy away from confrontation.’ Interesting fact The N0rth London girl plays a West Londoner in the film and says that before filming started the only time she'd been to West London was to visit the trendy Portobello Road market.
