I'm not a big one for exploiting anything, but it's nice to get a door opened and I like people to be polite; I guess that 's a different thing though. Mind you. l was asking round the other day to try and get tickets to see Dolly Parton in June.

I don't really think of myself in that way and I usually just amble around with my hood up in any case. But I suppose every once in a while someone will come up and speak to me in a shop or railway station or something and say they are a fan and that is sweet.

Last time someone criticised your work

I don't read my press because there's always a chance it could spin me out and what would be the point of that? l have enough on my plate to work through every day. so I don't want to go out of my way looking for trouble.

First three words your friends would use to describe you Kind. Loyal. Late (sometimes).

Last time you made an impulse buy and regretted it

I bought a silver dress the other day. which might make me look like a huge Christmas turkey. I'm not sure yet.

First concert you ever attended Me and my school friend Meryl went to see the Pixies in 1991 at the SECC. it was the gig where the stage collapsed. Teenage Fanclub supported them.

Last thing you think of before you go to sleep

By that point my brain is just plain fried. so it could be anything. Have I had my five a day? Can I afford to pay my bills? Am I paying enough attention to someone?
