Creating awareness and increasing footfall for both shopping developments and getting them on the map through various advertising campaigns, events, promotions and quirky initiatives. There's something different thrown on the desk everyday so it's always exciting and a constant challenge.
Really has got to be the endless ‘networking' doesn't it? And of course a wonderful. supportive and friendly team.
graduated from university in 2004 and worked in promotions and hospitality for a year until I landed my job here.
Marketing is definitely an industry where you have got to be creative and confident. so I believe if you want it you will get it. Oh. and a relevant degree usually helps you through the door . . .
With the redevelopment of the St James Shopping Centre opening so many doors. who knows. but I'll definitely still be in the marketing industry. it's fun. exciting and extremely challenging!
Multrees Walk is going from strength to strength and we've welcomed the opening of three new stores in the past few months so I'd expect to see more positive changes for the development in 2008. St James Centre is currently undergoing a massive redevelopment: actual works are due to start in 2010 and completion is hoped for 2015 so as you can imagine that is a big deal at the moment.
