While heading through to Edinburgh from Glasgow this morning for work I was devastated to see that there were road works on the only road into the City centre. at Corstorphine When was this planned? Who had the bright idea to put roadworks on such a busy road at this time of year? Maybe we should have the T-estival in Glasgow next year and give us

TAKE A HIKE

Re: Could It Be Magic (582) Why. oh why is there now a Take That musical? It was bad enough With the rash of tribute shows like We Wi/l Rock You. a sad tribute to an ageuig rock hand. and Mtflrrla Mia. an even sadder event celebrating the annoyance that was Abba. We don't need another one. And the cast don't even look anything like the members of

Take That. I know it's supposed to be a different stony surrounding the songs of the Oils reject band but they could have at least tried Willi the casting. And from reading your article, I saw that they based the story around the songs. With hits like ‘Relight My Fire” and ‘Babe', it's sure to be dire.

GIVE US A BREAK

Is it just me or is there rather a lot of break danCing around just now“? A lot of which seems to be receiwng rave reviews Not that there's anything wrong With break dance but I think perhaps I chose the wrong show of this nature to go and see. I recently experienced over an hour (it it in the form of Break Out. described as an extreme dance comedy. There are orily so many b-boy moves and MC-ing a person can take. It was nowhere near as good as last year's Jumpl. by the same people. Maybe comedy and break dancing just don't mix! Lucy

POINT OF VIEW

Last month while looking for a restaurant for a celebration I noticed Oloroso in your feature and also in your Eating and Drinking Gil/ole. Now, havmg been. I w0u|d have to say that the food was distinctly average and the best thing about it by a mile is the fantastic View. Holly

I thought it was OK. I wasn't taken by the whole thing though. Everyone is doing biographies now, it 's a bit over done.

Molly

Catering manager

I really like Richard Gere. I thought he did well in this: it's been a while since he's been in anything but this was a good comeback.

Never Forget Kings Theatre, Glasgow. Wed 8 Aug

I really enjoyed the show tonight. I wasn't a massive Take That fan, th0ugh I always preferred East 17!

We had a great time, it was amazing. The floor was moving underneath us because everyone was dancing so much.

I probably wouldn't have chosen this myself, but I didn't mind coming and I did enjoy myself.
