In the largest UK event of its type, the
British Association of Symphonic Bands and Wind Ensembles (understandably known as BASBWE) presents concerts, commissions, the new Scottish National Wind Orchestra, workshops and lectures on everything to do with playing a wind or brass instrument. From youth and school bands to top name players, such as the RSAMD’s own Principal, trumpeter John Wallace, it’s a four-day whirlwind of hot air.
