Formed back in 1983 the Waterboys will always be known for their massive single ‘The Whole of
the Moon’. Mike Scott’s band have moved through three distinct phases in their career, starting with big sweeping rock, then a move to Ireland lead to a Celtic period very much informed by local instruments followed by alternative folk rock, releasing their ninth studio album, Book of Lightning, earlier this year.
