BIG PICTURE
SCOTLAND UNITED
When it comes to fighting racism, complacency is poison. So, in response to press and political scaremongering, a diverse group of local performers and groups have teamed up to create an event that not only highlights both the cultural diversity of Scotland but is also a quality night out. Topping the bill at this free event are Glasgow’s own bhangra innovators Tigerstyle (pictured) who have been deftly combining western beats and traditional Punjabi and Indian tunes for some years now. They are joined by a raft of musicians, poets, comedians and DJs, including eastern European dance specialist Moishe’s Bagel, Mosa Funk Club and singer- songwriter Cora Bissett.
