' OK, so the album turned out to be a bit of a Lady lacklustre offering considering the hype - the rapping on the table at Def Jam in front of Jay-Z, the Missy Elliot remixes - but it was never quite going to live up to expectations. In truth, Sov is more fun live. She has as much in common with the sarcastic buffoonery of Eminem as she does the weary travelogues of Mike Skinner, but she does this on her own terms and is still one of the most entertaining pop MCs you’ll find this side of the Thames.
