For the first time, Lonely Planet is launching its own film festival, a celebration of international cinema which inspires travel and we have 10 pairs of tickets to give away to a screening at the Cameo in Edinburgh. From 19-29 March 2007 the film festival is taking place at independent cinemas across the UK in Brixton, Greenwich, Exeter, York and Edinburgh. Screenings of such captivating classics as The Italian Job, Amelie and Volver will showcase the locations featured in each film, including the romantic city of Paris; the gritty back streets of Turin in Italy, the spectacular landscapes of the Alps, and beautiful Spanish countryside.

Havana Club is returning to Glasgow to recreate ‘a piece of Havana‘ with an exclusive night of music, rum and raw passion at the Old Fruit Market and we have 15 sets of tickets, 15 bottles of Havana Club and 15 books to give away.
On 24 February 2007, the Old Fruit Market will be transformed into a genuine Havana street-scene for the event. Performing on the night will be Triangulo Oscuro, Cuba’s top Hip Hop band plus the amazing DJ Armando and percussionists who are being flown direct from Cuba by Havana Club for the event
Guests will be treated to complimentary authentic Cuban cocktails made exclusively with Havana Club including Cuban classics such as the Mojito and the Cuba Libre.
The spectacular set will also feature an exhibition of black and white images by leading specialist Cuban and Latin photographer James Sparshatt. James’ work is mainly figurative, capturing the richness and vibrancy of Havana life.
