I It’s difficult to keep up with visitor figures for Kelvingrove since it re-opened last July. Recent numbers are just shy of the 2 million mark, making the museum and galleries one of the most popular sights in the UK. Lord Provost Liz Cameron will hand over a commemorative gift to the lucky 2 millionth visitor. So, if a woman comes running at you from round the back of an exhibit, wearing a gaudy necklace and a cape, do not confuse her with a superhero. Just genuflect with your hands out and hope for the best. Those Mockintosh coasters will look great on your coffee table.

I Photography students are reminded that the deadline for the 2007 Association of Photographers Student Awards is March 23 2007.
