What’s that then? Lunch and 50 minutes of improv comedy for five shiny pounds. In three words Different, tasty, fun. Where we saw it The Stand, Edinburgh. What’s the atmosphere like? The club is strangely sober, with the occasional scattering of old ladies who look like they’re just there to keep- warm. Still, get hyper 0n fizzy pop and shout suggestions as a range of improvised comedy games are played out before your very eyes. A lot of it is standard stuff, but they're good. They know how to twist every drop of comedy out of a skit, and how to end things on a punchline of varying quality. What’s the best thing about it? Designed to fit snugly into your lunch hour, you stuff your face with food while watching Stu Murphy (pictured) and Garry Dobson perform like monkeys. But the comedy isn’t really the main attraction. It’s something to break up the day that's less challenging than the Play, Pie and a Pint brand but more exciting than the crossword and a sandwich. It’s worth'a trip for the food alone, but when you've got the laughter effortlessly provided, you can’t really ask for much more. (Sian Bevan)
