I Some of Scotland’s artists have donated paintings, prints, drawings and photographs to be exhibited and sold to raise funds for Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland, which is now part of the UK’s leading HIV and sexual health charity. The exhibition ‘Positive Pictures: Scotland’s Artists on HIV’ sees a diverse mix of artists in Scotland drawing attention to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Exhibiting artists include Amy Whitten, David Shrigley, Rob Churm and David Bellingham. The work will be exhibited at a new gallery space and café in Glasgow’s Art De Cat and will run from Thursday 23 November until Friday 1 December, World AIDS Day.

I The Royal Scottish Academy has announced two new and improved Scholarships The RSA Alastair Salvesen Scholarship and three Hospitalfield Residencies. The Salvesen Scholarship awards 3310.000 as a painting and travelling award. and is the largest independent art scholarship in Scotland. The money is to cover 6 months travel that will culminate in a solo show at the RSA. and the deadline for applications is 17 January. The Hospitaltield residencies provide £1666 to each artist. and offer accommodation and for the three month period. The deadline for applications is Friday 1 December.
