QUESTIONS ON EATING AND DRINKING GUIDE
I read the new I at/ng a {)nnkrng (Trude wrth rnterest and agree that rt rs the most comr)r'ehensrve guide to eatrng out tn the Central Belt. But one thing makes me curious: what are the cnter‘ra for rnclusron’?
lor a puhlrcatron that I regard as Independent. I would have thought the lrstrng of UK Wide charn eateries or hars such as Est Fst Est or the Counting House (Wetherspoons) rs anathema to a guide that should he celehr'atrng the rndrvrdual and diverse.
Why. for example, has a (Elasgow owned puh lrke Bahhrty Bowster not been recently vrsrted’? Why rnclude Kehahrsh hut mrss out local Indran restaurants such as the Asmaan and the Shenax’?
Where do you draw the lure? If you rnclude Pix/a Express why not list PIX/a Hut?
As the Cafes Section has thankfully de-lrsted Costa outlets (hut stranger not rncluded the Srlver Bean) then surely the other sectrons can he srmrlarlv cleansed of corporate hlandness.
