BOUND FOR BURNS FESTIVAL

The full programme for this year‘s Burns an‘ a’ that! Festival has been unveiled. The event, which takes place from Sat 20—Mon 29 May, includes the Glenfiddich centenary concerts, presented over three nights at the Western Turnberry Resort. Among those appearing are Jools Holland on the 27th while Phil Cunningham, Karen Matheson and Eddi Reader with the RSNO precede the fireworks finale on the 28th. Other highlights include performances by The Proclaimers, Dougie MacLean and Julian Cope, performing classic hits from his back catalogue as well as some new poems and songs. The Festival Club re-opens its doors at Ayr Town Hall, with a full programme of events, while the festival fringe offers such delights as the Bums Country Rideout by the Clyde Valley Harley Owners Group.
