REASONS TO GO SEE
PAUL TONKINSON
He likes to give a helping hand It's not all ‘me me me' in the Paul 'l‘onkinson universe. For one thing. he hosted lIV‘s Take the Mike. which helped new stand-ups make their first tentative steps in the business while With Channel 4's Die/rig With Debt (he loves his punningly titled shows. eh?) Tonks assisted poor students in wiping Out their arrears.
He’s a busy boy Look at that schedule! He's literally playing two shows on both Friday and Saturday night!! Incredible!!! Lucky he's so tall as he'll need a big stride to make it across town in tune!!!!
He was once a host of The Big Breakfast But left after just 54 early rises. Probably didn't want to be typecast. Or something.
He’s a brave lad His 2004 Fringe show War Stories revolved around his experiences in Iraq when he became the first comic to perform for the troops there after the conflict 'ended‘. He returned recently alongside Rhod Gilbert and Gina Yashere.
Anagrammatically speaking Maybe he'll go undercover to let the United Nations know about strange goings-on with army transpon. 'UN in tanks loop' in other words.
