I As Jim Lambie prepares for his Turner Prize installation to be unveiled on Tuesday 18 October at Tate Britain, he is scheduled to have a show even sooner at his spiritual home, the Modern Institute, from Friday 7 October. Will it be an indicator of what might be appearing in London? Lambie’s odds for winning the big prize are 4-1 - as are those for Simon Starling, another Modern Institute aficionado. At time of going to press they are joint outsiders.

I Keep your eyes open for developments at Bell Street, Glasgow. EmergeD is hosting two artists over the next month Marine Myrup and Karena Nomi to work at number 54 to act in response to the site and transform it from being ostensibly a mere “retail unit‘. I Beagles and Ramsay are taking part in an aptly named show, When Humour Becomes Painful, at the Mogros Museum fur Gegenwartskunst in Zurich, Switzerland, until Sunday 30 October. Making art from their own blood clearly qualified them.
