to be exhibited to the public at the end of August. The archive has been given a temporary home at Skateraw Farm near Dunbar in East Lothian and includes books, photographs, films and videos recording the work of the Richard Demarco Gallery and the Demarco European Art foundation over the past 40 years. A selection of artworks loaned from overseas galleries will be displayed alongside the Demarco collection. Appropriately, as Skateraw resides next to the Torness Power Station, a film made by Ken McMullen about nuclear energy will be screened onto one side of the huge building. Demarco is thrilled. ‘Our country has the most amazing, vibrant artistic community and also wonderful landscapes so it seems right to bring them together,’ he says. The free exhibition opens on 29 August, and will run for seven days a week, 10am—4pm until the end of October. (AR)
