GLASGOW AND EDINBURGH EVENTS GUIDE
The new edition of The List's annual Eating 8. Drinking Guide WlII be published in April 2005. We are now looking to fill a small number of gaps in our respected editorial team by recruiting new reviewers who are able to write effectively and knowledgeably about the restaurants of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
You will need to be able to write sharp. concise prose as well as display thoroughness and accuracy in researching information. You should be able to write with confidence and insught about food and drink in general. and be familiar with the eating out scene in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will also need to have access to email and the web. be com- puter literate and be available to submit work to tight deadlines in January. February and early March 2005.
Please note that all reviewing is on a part-time. freelance basis. and can normally be fitted around separate full-time work.

0 sample reviews of two restaurants you have visited recently in a private capacity. The reviews should be written in a style similar to those found in The List's Eating & Drinking Guide 2004. and be of no more than 200 words each in length. Please include the full name. address and telephone number of each restaurant. as well as a plus and minus point.

Volunteers Network Development Officer Freelance Post
Paintings in HOSpitals Scotland is looking for someone to develop a network of volunteers across Scotland
to help deliver our service to hospitals and healthcare centres.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills, experience in setting up networks, knowledge of legal issues. health and safety and the needs of volun- teers.
Own transport desirable. although not essential.
The job will comprise 2 days a week for six months. beginning Jan 2005. for a fee of £3500 (approx. £17,500 pro rata) plus travel and expenses. The job will be based in the PiHS office. with some travelling.
We are looking for candidates with direct experience and short-listed candidates will be invited to show how they might approach the role by means of a short presentation at interview.
