sneaking out when the rest of the populace has gone home. Not the norm of fantasy role» play or historic tabletop battling for these creatures. Nope. it's futuristic, l0lt?~li(?£i\“,. axe'n'missile launcher or nothing. lhese are the geekiest of the geeky. These are l'v/arharnrner 40K fans.
And they Wlll love Dawn of War. Though it has all the trappings of a real time strategy. the richness of a universe developed through years of table top gaming gives it a depth. a style. a verve that few other titles can match. Celebrated in some fun animations. a great story and some impresswe veice acting. the punk. sci-fr. fantasy. medieval, pagan mix of Dawn of War is a breath of fresh air.
And the gaiiieplay itself very nearly does Justice to this style. Each unit has its uses. reguiring tactical thinking beyond sheer weight of numbers. And while some of the maps and miSSions are a little linear. the variety available to the strategic thinker helps prevent beredom or repetition. And when more races. other than the puritanical Space
